Pooh's Honey Bread #2

Another "egg-free" version of Pooh's honey bread. This time, I tried baking with Ener-G Egg Replacer.

Grilled Rice Balls

Grilled Rice Balls with dried bonito fish flakes, two kinds of sesame seeds, green seaweed, soy sauce, and sesame oil

Maple Bread

This is very simple, plain bread but the extremely soft center and the crispy crust with a hint of maple syrup flavor is just perfect. Pingu's relatives fell in love with this loaf too.

Chocolate Cappuccino Bread #2

As requested by Pingu's relatives, I made this bread again this week.

Cream Cheese Bread

Strawberry & Cream Sandwich

Veggie & Swiss Cheese Sandwich

Tuna Salad Sandwich

With Caesar Salad

I was too lazy to put weight on the sandwiches before slicing them, so they were pretty loose and didn't look so pretty. Oh well...

急いでいてめんどうだったので、重しをしなかったらふわふわでバラバラなサンドイッチになっちゃいました。でも喜んでもらえたのでよかった~。

Sesame Kimchi Somen

Cpicon 簡単ゴマキムチそうめん!! by AZURIN5

The combination of fresh ground sesame and kimchi was wonderfully tasty! This was based on the recipe below, but I didn't use any pork and added some eggplants and tofu that I cooked in the sauce instead.

Chocolate Cappuccino Bread

↑これが安かったので、中に練りこんでみました。
Chocolate cappuccino spread was on sale at Cost Plus, so I tried baking bread with it.

Linguine with Tuna, Lemon & Caper Sauce

My kids LOVE this pasta dish. They can eat so much of it. Pretty soon, one pound of linguine won't be enough for four of us!

Helpful tools for making this:
OXO 3-Inch Mini Strainer
OXO Lemon Zester
OXO Garlic Press

My first anpan!

Bibimbap #2

I made this for Pingu's relatives, but they said kimchi was a bit too powerful for them.

Bibimbap

ビビンバ with kimchi from Kyo-Po market

I know this is not 100% authentic (for instance, I don't feel comfortable dropping a "raw" American egg yolk), but we're pretty happy this way. I forgot to serve it with gochujang though. Oops.
