Pasta Wheels with Arrabbiata Sauce

My lunch today. A let's-clean-out-the-fridge dish. I just mixed the following, so it didn't even take five minutes to make this. :) It was pretty good. :d

- left over pasta wheels
- Arrabbiata sauce that was too spicy for the kids and therefore was standing by in the freezer
- baby bella mushrooms
- green olives (sundried tomato, garlic & basil marinated)
- green onions (nobody would probably put green onions in pasta sauces, but since I had chopped ones in the fridge anyway, I threw them in)

Pasta Wheel Soup with Grains

Pasta wheel soup with Trader Joe's Harvest Grains blend (Israeli style couscous, orzo, baby garbanzo beans, and red quinoa).

Crispy Bread with Fresh Rosemary

採れたてローズマリー入りフォカッチャ風サクサクブレッド

I mixed fresh rosemary into this フォカッチャ風サクサクブレッド recipe that I found in one of my Japanese bread books. I also added some extra steps: I took out the bread pan right before the bread machine would go into the baking cycle, brushed the dough with olive oil, sprinkled with salt, and put the pan right back into the machine.

This time I baked it using the regular mode that takes about four hours. It turned out a bit harder than the quick baked version. After experimenting with different recipes and baking options, I've come to decide that this one is the closest to the bread at Romano's Macaroni Grill Italian Restaurant. Delish!

Roasted Tofu

This is very easy to make, and it turned out pretty close to 厚揚げ atsuage (deep-fried tofu)! I couldn't believe it.

I didn't want to mix the greasy tofu with my hand, so I used Small Silicone Spatula. I love the raspberry color, and this tiny spatula is convenient for doing many little things.

My lunch today: 冷やし中華 - Hiyashi Chuka (cold noodle with ham, eggs, cucumber, and ginger). This is something I wanted to eat every day when I was having morning sickness last spring/summer/fall!
